Alicja

My name's Alicja Raszkiewic. I qualified with B.Sc. in Sports Therapy from Bournemouth University where I developed a range of physiotherapy skills as well as a sport specific approach to therapy.

I am passionate about sports rehabilitation, especially in football. During my uni journey I worked closely with AFC Bournemouth Girls' and Women's Teams. I am currently continuing my role in football as a 1st Team Physiotherapist for Blackfield & Langley FC. I provide treatment for the players and pitch-side assistance during their games.

I try to stay physically active and I've been practicing volleyball for most of my life which gives me an understanding of the equally important psychological side of athletes' recovery.

I apply an individual approach to every patient and aim to get people back to work and/or back to their sports.

Martin

Sports Therapist

Martin is a qualified Sports Massage therapist, and certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor following studies at Bournemouth and Poole College and Bournemouth University.

Growing up, his Dad was a cycling club champion and he found himself spending many an hour massaging backs and legs. Following in his Dad’s footsteps, he grew to love cycling too, but found his real passion to be in the gymnasium where he quickly qualified as a Fitness Instructor and then Personal Trainer, working and training in a number of different gyms. Fascinated with physiology and given his previous experience, Sports Massage then became a natural progression for him.

Maintaining his own personal fitness is more than an interest or even a job: as a diabetic, understanding the body’s physiology and nutritional intake is a necessity to his life whether working, resting, or exercising and he is able to use that knowledge and expertise when treating clients.

Born and raised in Bournemouth, Martin is an active member of the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers Cycling Club and has spent years practicing and teaching Judo. During any free time, Martin loves to jump on his bike to explore the wonderful surrounds of BCP or head for the gym for some hard core weight training.
